Let the journey begin.

After a two year search for a MK1 throughout the UK and Europe, i purchased this which was only a 30 minute drive from home. It had been stood in a lock up for a decade.
Let the journey begin to bring her back on track.

Looks pretty good as it is, have you got much to do ?
And if I may be so vulgar do you mind if I ask how much you spent  as a guy I work with has one the same colour and I think similar age but it hasn’t had quite the level of care yours looks to have had and he’s adamant it’s a £5k + car.
Anyway nice find and great detective work

I presume you'll be doing some  'light recommissioning' works to it.

Not much to do really - just a couple of scratches here and there and to sort the parcel shelf out and slow wipers. I paid more than £5k thats for sure. It's totally standard and solid - just what I've been looking for. There was 2 car dealers after it but he wanted it to go to someone who will look after her so he gave me first look in and the rest is history.

That does look good from the pictures, would like to see a few more   .

Ohhh that’s like discovering the secret of alchemy, like finding The Holy Grail and all it needs is a bit of spit and polish lol.
Glad to hear you saved her from the grabbing hands of the local traders and have ensured her future, top work.
