cheers man…. appreciated! :) would love to have more money to spend on it though I don't really earn very much at all and spend almost all of what I do on the cabby at the moment in a push to get it on the road for before the end of summer (I hope!)
i ain't gunna be able to get the bodywork done for a while but would love to get the hood re-trimmed as that is kaka really and i know it will bug me if i don't plus it's not got the loops for the hood bag to clip onto :(
lol then i have to do the same (or more!) to the caddy, i picked up a 1.9tdi (ahua0 engine and box and all ancillaries for Ł80 out of a mk3 golf so that's going to get put into the caddy and it also needs a bunch of body work too (not rot but dents!)

so she's up and running finally….. but keep having two steps forward five steps backward syndrome going on at the moment :( keep finding previous bodge jobs to sort out from it's past owners which is just a little annoying to say the least
2016-03-11 17.15.26.jpg
that was the central locking wiring which looked just plain kaka (all worked just horrid to see shoddy work like that!

so I had to re-do….. (I am no expert at this stuff infact the most wiring I've ever done to be fair!)
2016-03-12 15.30.24.jpg

also modded my knee bar and relocated the window switches and hood switch which I am quite happy about as I will be fitting gauges so needed to fit them somewhere…
2016-03-12 15.30.09.jpg

and did a bit of refurbing on the gauges too…
2016-03-02 01.01.23.jpg

and fitted a new heater matrix as mine was leaking so while I was at it fitted new foam on the flaps….

have to say even though I have not had the carbs properly setup yet it sounds epic…. the combo of portmatched head (done by myself!) 4-2-1 stainless manifold onto a 2.5" bore straight through exhaust with the twin dcoe's is just plain awesome…. that overrun….. hehehe cannot wait to drive this one!

Nice work with the relocated switches. Been thinking about relocating my cabby's switches so I can retrofit a set of gauges.

so finally on the road, first real proper shake down was this years agm and a chance to bond with the black one! got an oil leak and not realy 100% sure where it's coming from but will keep an eye on it and may end up just topping up from time to time and not try to fix as I am thinking about crossflowing it anyways to be honest!
