Ok not the best pic - it was dark!! lol I was pining for the Azev's as I took them off, but once the BBS were on I thought they look good. Went for a little test ride on them, however as soon as I got off the drive I heard click-click-click….. I stopped and went back on the drive. I think I know the issue - the seller of the car gave me a set of wheel nuts saying they were for the BBS, but they're about 10mm longer than the ones that were fitted with the Azev's. The clicking is coming from the rear only so I think the bolts are too long and knocking the brake shoe adjusters
Just a tad frustrating as I'm heading down to Oxford tomorrow to see family and was looking forward to the ride in it. Will have to wait until I'm back Sunday to take a look, just hope nothing is broken! Kicking myself as did the fronts first, span the wheels and all good so didn't bother spinning the rears!
On the up-side my wind deflector turned up and I managed to change the time on the clock without issue! It's still a good car but it seems every job I tackle has been jinxed so far!
One final question, the trim panel under the dash, above the pedals keeps dropping down;
I can see on the bulkhead two spring clamps that this slots in to and they hold it ok but there doesn't seem to be anything on the front edge to hold it, other than resting on the lower edge of the dash, but there's not much overlap so if it gets knocked with your feet it drops down. Any clues anyone on this?

Today I had the break fluid changed and they removed the knackered locking nut too, so I got home and thought I'd throw the BBS on.

I'm in my bed so not going down to check but is it not small clips that slide into the bottom of the dashboard, then the panel goes into that ?
I def have them got the fuse board trim cover as I was playing with it the other night !!

Hopefully I'm back in time on Sunday to sort the wheel nut issue, I take it there's no issue using the bolts off the Azev's on the BBS? The shoulder under the bolt head is very slightly different

looks great!
on the face/taper of the bolt, where it contacts with the wheel, the azev bolts will probably have flat faces whereas the bbs will be rounded. DO NOT swap them,you may damage the wheel and there will be hardly any of the mounting face touching the wheel..

That's scuppered me for fixing it this weekend then I guess, if they are too long. Other option is the bolts that were used on the P-slots? They're the right length - I can't recall if shoulder is radiused or not?

Ah cheers for that Rich - save me doing some damage!! You are right on the types.

if it still has the factory bolts they will be radius. they certainly should be..
99% of factory wheels and bolts are radius, and about 90% of aftermarket wheels are flat taper type…
the RA's ( and RM's) are both radius as they were factory wheels.
