Great, thanks mate!

I picked up the Meguiars version of the roof cleaner and waterproof protectant yesterday, so will be getting that done next.

I do prefer them on their original wheels. They blend in better with the roof.

How much is left to do to it?

Not much really. Replace the o-ring under the sender cover to stop the fuel leak, do the front discs and pads for peace of mind and then really just as much tidying of the engine bay as I can be arsed to do. New rocker cover on it's way at which point I'll do the belts. One sunny day I may sort the stone chips under the front grill, but other than this I can't think of anything else.

Oh and here's the beading shot, it had to be done;

Nice beading shot!

Got love a sportline selfie, maybe we should have a thread "sportline selfie sundays" and post up if we are out and about in the sportline on a sunny sunday, or am I just taking things too far now ……..  :$

Looks good Andy.

Thanks Chris  :thumbs:

A few more jobs sorted today. I met-up with funk-star to pick up a box of bits (cheers for that funk-star  :thumbs: ) Drove back with the roof down sporting my new tonneau cover - and the sun promptly hid so it was a tad chilly!  :lol:

Got back and replaced my Volkswagen and VW badges.

Old;

New;

I never thought about doing the Golf GTI badge ( :$ ) so will have to do that now too! lol I did remove the 8V badge though that was on the car;

Before;

After;

There is a feint rectangle in the paint so I'll have to polish that out at some point soon!

Finally, I swapped out this cracked, old boot lock seal;

…for this nice, new one!;

…and the finished article!;

I then put the car away and stuck the cover on, at which point all the clouds disappeared and the sun came out!  :lol:

Next on the to-do list will be the O-ring on top of the fuel tank once it's a bit emptier

Hmmmm liking the mats muchly !!

I got 2 sets of all black ones, for both Sportlines but as blackie was sent to Siberia, I have put the 2nd set in the GX just now. They arent quite right in the front, so long term i will get tinnie black and/or grey ones.

The all red ones are very nice and I never gave them a thought  O_o but not getting another set as that would be 3 sets for the cab and 1 tin set  :o

Love the before and after shots above - good idea.  :)

I have two sets of the mats for my car black/black and black/red - didn't think of the red/red option -  :cool:

The tonneau cover looks pretty mint condition too.  ;)

Cheers Hugh.

I had noticed a damp patch under the car this week. I hadn't stuck my finger in it but assumed oil - although it's not appearing to use any.

I stuck a roasting tin under the car about 24 hours ago, expecting a fair amount of oil in it. However, just checked it and got this!  :lol:

Looks like I've got a small coolant leak then! Nice to see it's so clean. Hopefully it's just a hose in need of tightening. Water pump was replaced not so long ago so that should be ok. This will be a job for tomorrow, as long as I'm not too hung-over  :thumbs:
