Did you already get rid of the 1.1 engine?
Otherwise you could get it back in

Again some small jobs done on the car
Bought and fitted some new rubber seals for the rear lights as we got a little water in the inside of the car and installed a new pump too since our old one couldn't handle the weight of the tailgate..
Also installed the little vinyl pieces in the car after a good clean.

Top job. What sound deadening products did you use? Do you find the car is loud to drive? As in a lot of engine / exhaust nice inside the car?

Thank you!
We bought some sound deadening from our local parts shop with a layer of vilt for isolation.
(See this post for pictures: http://vwgolfmk1.org.uk/forum/index.php?page=topicview&id=projects%2Fyour-mk1-golfs_2%2Fgolf-mk1-1-1-80-full&start=60#post_1509264)
Whole roof + the floor and fire wall are covered.
You can still hear the engine and exhaust but it's not that loud.

Hi mate you have the colour code for onyx green? I can't find anything that looks as good as yours

Color code is LD6V, it's a pretty rare color, not many cars were sprayed in this color.

Today we got our Golf MOT'd.
Everything was ok, no comments. We'll probably have our plates this Wednesday

Wow !!! The workmanship thats gone into your restoration is awesome !! Congrats on the build and getting it looking so nice !
Hope to see the car at a few shows in the uk or the ones in Belgium. I'd imagine you'd clean up with the OEM trophy at the shows

Wednesday we got our official plates.
That evening we took the car for a spin Filling her up
We also received our wheel wrench and the plastic toolkit holder.
Thanks watson , for sending me the part numbers!
Plastic toolkit holder
Only thing that's left is finding an genuine spanner in mint condition.
