First cam swap, head swap, head gasket and cam belt sorted. Fingers crossed all is well, I hand cranked the engine a couple of full rotations and all seemed well, no noises and marked lined up.

Next on the list whilst things are stripped down is test fitting the 4-2-1 Powersprint four branch manifold. Bit of a tight fit but once the gear selector bits and pieces were stripped away it went in relatively easily. Quick trip to Powerflow exhausts to drop of the Manifold yesterday that should be ready for collection today.

Looking good - some tidy work there!
I rebuilt my metering head as well - wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be - and it works!

Are you going to wrap the exhaust down pipe or the rubber steering UJ boot near the exhaust as there's a good chance the boot may melt or catch fire if the exhaust gets very hot from some spirited driving…

Thanks! Yeah I have a metering head rebuilt and ready to go, just want to start it first with the original as there may be a few gremlins to work through.paceman said

Yep that's exactly what I'm going to do. Wrapping first thing tomorrow and then fitting later on. I know some like the steel/polished steel look but as this'll be a driven car as opposed a show car I want to make it as bulletproof and non combustible as possible. Can't bloody wait as I've had the exhaust in the garage since January.mark1gls said

Well that's a wrap for today - boom boom. Won't have enough time to fit the exhaust today so will crack on with it tomorrow. I didn't have enough of the same wrap to do the entire manifold so ended up with a two tone look - actually really like it!

Final push to get as many bits buttoned up before heading away with work for a few weeks. The Powerflow system went on incredibly well albeit a little tight for me working on the skateboard. Can't wait to hear this car fire up now!
