Boot lokck removal

Removed the rear wiper arm, wiper motor and washer nozzle, but can't seem to figure out how the boot lock comes out…… anyone !

If i remember correctly for my tin top mine was held on by two screws which were accessible from inside the tail gate. Mind you it was a couple of years ago.

               Thanks for the reply, I think I may have described it wrong, I have managed to take the lock mechanism off, as you described, 2 bolts hold it in place, its the tumbler part where you put the key in to unlock the tailgate the press it in to open, there are no fastenings around it , theres nothing about it in the restoration manual, I think it may be a push fit or interference fit, but I dont want to force it too much !

Oh i have no idea, mine was just removed for painting and then replaced. I am sure someone must know though.
