Started stripping the engine bay this afternoon ready for the bodywork to be sorted and to upgradethe engine,brakes,suspension etc    

What's your engine, suspension and brake plans?

Engine is 20vt, I know it's been done loads of times but I've always wanted to do it! I've got an aum engine, brakes and suspension I'm not 100% on yet,I need to look at different options plus not sure on what wheels I'm going to run yet,not going for huge bhp,around 2/220 bhp is what I'm after 

Been stripping down the front end today and I'm really happy with the condition of it all,only had one nut shear off!! I'm beginning to have second thoughts about putting a 20vt in,I'll have a think about it but I think it would be a shame as it's so original now! 

Drivers side has had a bump but I've bought the replacement panel for this bit 

Been a while!
I've been buying lots of bits for the Golf, all brakes and suspension parts are brand new, decided to keep her original and standard apart from some 40mm lowering springs, I'll update with some pics over the next few weeks as they start to get fitted 😃
