Advice on springs on MK1 Clipper Cabriolet Daily

Hi everyone, i'm looking for a bit of advice on 2 things.  1 more pressing than the other.

1) I need suggestions on ride height and a good make of springs.  I had a spring change at a local garage and its failed on me by getting caught up and therefore making the car a little more slammed than I wanted it to be.  My 91 registered clipper is a lovely car and its becoming more of a daily driver.  Any advice welcome.

2) Need to track down where I can get a hood cover for the same car, colour black.
