82 mars red GTI

Yes, red all the way!

       

Last week the shell was primed and a coat of 2K color was applied, the color coat is only for the wet sanding so that the primer doesn't get any moisture in it. Once its been wet sanded It'll be finished in mars red.








Also I assembled the steering rack ready to fit and have made a start on the rear beam which is almost done but I'm just waiting for some parts to arrive to finish it off.

The shell and all the panels was painted last week (minus the bonnet) but I only have photos of the shell. Went down to see it on Friday, very impressed and very happy with it, looking forward to getting it home and start putting it back together!

That really is epic, would have loved for retro power to do mine but the price they quoted was out of my reach unfortunately.

Wow crazy amount of work gone into this, but the car looks really good for it though, now comes the fun part, bolting all the shiny bits back on 

Thanks guys, they've done a top job on it! Can't wait to start putting it back together. It might make it back on the road by the end of the decade!
