1983 Alpine White Gti Restoration
managed to get down to the garage last Saturday to fine tune the engine, ive now reached running in mileage. sadly we were hitting a limiter at around 5600/5700rpm. nothing in the dizzy to limit it, i can only put it down to the fuel pump relay so will try the horn relay in its place to see if it will push past.

not updated this in along time as nothing has really changed and work and life has come ahead of the car.
but with being furloughed recently i found some time to get alot of jobs done.
ash tray has always been broken, thought a usb charger and phone holder would be useful, printed in grey for test fitting as this is my cheap filament.
when i got the fit right i printed in black
then used a red and silver paint pen to finish off.

a window winder of mine broke and i wondered if a 3d printed one would be up to the job, im on version 2 so far. version 1 did not last very long.
parcel shelf has always been abit battered and bruised. never sat on supports and when i have the seats retrimmed they did not leave on the attachment point. thought i would modernise the pivot.
3d printed point a sleeve and then used a coachbolt to go through the parcel shelf support
a bracket adds strength to the parcel shelf
A housing for the VDO gauges. was never happy with what i had before. this holders the gauges in better.

wonderful restore work, love White GTI. I really like your gauge setup to slightly show them towards the driver - nice touch.
