Hi

I have converted an ex diesel 5 door to a ex Corrado g60 lump.

Very clean shell to start with little or no rust thankfully.

The engine had suffered a head gasket failure in its life and was pushed into a shed for many a year.

I sourced a LHD Corrado with 200k on it but ran sweet.

Full hydro conversion with a modified mk1 golf clutch pedal with a mk3 golf 16v clutch pedal master cylinder bracket welded on to a mk1 pedal with a mk3 golf 16v master cylinder. It has a clip in feature with is easy to work with. It saves doing b3/b4 or corrado pedal box conversions. Remote bottle for clutch fluid. Cable change gear stick mounted internally. Mk2 1300 golf centre console.

Corrado g60 gearbox with ebay.de sourced engine and gearbox mounts.

The wiring is the corrado engine harness spliced into the mk1 harness.

Powersprint exhaust manifold (with lambda) and full 63mm exhaust system.

Mk2 golf 1300 speedo cable and 1600 diesel clocks with plug in connectors I think.

Sprinter intercooler with rallye U bend.

Strut braces top and bottom and rear brace.

G60 brakes and rear brakes drums refurbished.

G60 radiator with pacet 12 inch slim line fan.

Golf cabriolet 100mm short drive, Corrado g60 100mm drive with cabriolet outer CV joint.

Most of the issues with wiring for this were down to bad earths. I used a corrado earths setup and earthed the cylinder head, front and back, the block, gearbox and ECU with its own earth.
