Small update people, it's been a few day's since I worked on the car as I was waiting for more sheet metal, I managed to get some from a friend of mine, happy days

Anyway, Started today on the o/s rear sill which was goosed, cut out the rot and welded new plate in

New inner/inner sill plate

Next I had to make a new on of these

So cut out some new steel

Bought myself a new metal folder from machine mart

Marked out the bend lines for the radius in the panel(just a bit of educated guess work really)

Moved to the bender, starting with the line closest to me working backwards

put bottom return in plate

Missed a couple of photos but made cut out for the jacking point stiffener

New one compared to the old one. the piece at the bottom of the pic is the old inner/inner sill with whats left of the old jacking point stiffener

Next I set about making a new Stiffener for the jacking point. I made it from a piece of 50x30 box section, you'll get the picture…

Capped the ends off

weldable primered both the new pieces before I welded them together

welded up then tacked to the car

Outer/inner sill tacked in to position

All welded up

Dressed up and painted

That's as far as I got today. Sorry for the amount of pics, just thought it might be helpful for anyone doing the same thing.

Comments/Advice welcome as always.

Cheers, Andy.
