If mot's were based on looks, you're car would fly through sure it will anyway.
Congrats on getting her running too.

I bet once you've got a pass you'll get through at least one tank of fuel in less than 24 hours

Yeah been out all day today(around 6 hours) here, there and everywhere and it hasn't even used £20 of fuel! I thought it would have been very thirsty, happy days.

Congrats on the mot pass and your mk1 looks stunning in its new paint Andy. Be nice to see it at some stage next year.
Cheers Watson. I'll definitely be attending some shows next year so you should get to see her. I've got a bit more tinkering to do before then though.

Definitely enjoying it Dubbuds!!
I thought it was fast when I first drove her but I didn't realise that the accelerator cable was badly adjusted and the throttle body was only opening 3/4 of the way, She's a little rocket now its been adjusted correctly haha

Its been a while since we've heard from you or seen any pictures of the car.
Your last post mentioned that you'd sorted out the accelerator adjustment…… Hopefully you also sorted out the brakes as well
Maybe that's why we haven't heard from you recovering!

Yes Yomp I have some updates.
The car is running well. Probably around 280bhp, it's stupidly quick, however the handling is rubbish, I couldn't work out what was wrong with it as I'm running KW v2s and everything is brand new. It feels like the car wants to go straight forward when cornering. I think I may have Sussed it though, if you grab a front wheel either side and rock laterally, the steering rack moves through the rack bushes, which I'm guessing is why the feels like it wants to go straight?
Anyone had this happen know how to stop it. I can't get the clamps any tighter. Its ok pottering around the streets but that's not why I 20V'd it
Anyway here are some pics
