Nice story Graham, I bet they were well chuffed, if not a little teased! Lol

Took BB to Stratford on Avon Festival of Motoring yesterday to hand out a few flyers for the show.
They shut down the town centre for 2 days and there's loads of different classics on show.
Really good show with a cavalcade for the displaying cars around lunchtime.
Quentin Wilson was commentating on the cars as they passed through during the cavalcade and my Golf was one of the few he stopped to speak to apparently. He seemed quite taken back by the condition and the mileage and said he "cut his teeth" on them back in the day which if you've watched "The Cars the Star" on youtube you'll know he was a big fan of them.

Shame the weather took a turn for the worse later on.

my engine bay made it to the local paper. Not bad considering the 100's of cars there over the 2 days and the amount of shots that must have been taken….

So Black Bullet headed up the drive out at the AGM 2016…………

Went pretty well with only a few getting lost due to them not coming to the briefing and taking it on themselves to follow the yellow arrows which were for a cycle race the next day! I'll mention no names…. richyhill  ;)

And on the Sunday I put it on the rollers.
I knew it was a strong engine for an almost stock engine bar a view port tweaks, a blueprint and balance but was well happy with 128bhp and 126 ft/lbs!

Strong power from the standard engine!
Seen your motor at the AGM, had a good look around and it looks mint, nice job!

Ah Cheers.
It was a bit grubby at the AGM following several thrashes along the drive out route earlier in the week and lack of time to clean it!

Just means you're driving it how it should be driven!

Invested in this airchamber for the winter months. Hopefully will stop any damp causing damage during the next few months as I don't plan to drive it through the winter.

Hi,

Thinking of buying 1 airchamber too.
Happy with it? Pros and cons?

What size did you take?

Thanks
