Went to have a look at the progress today. Shell is now in high build 2K primer with guide coat.
It is currently being blocked dry with 320 and then will be wet flatted with 800. Should be black again by the end of this week. :cheer:
I can then have the shell back to start building up while they get on with the panels.

Went to see the car today. They're just finishing the body and have painted all the panels except a bonnet as I can't find a decent one

It's going to look friggin' ace!

Once the weights back on, it'll sit as VW intended - on correct oem springs. Which also means I have no issue with fat chicks or scuffed sumps!

My mum lives other side of the road to that estate and I used to get my cars serviced there as well. I have known him for a while now
