Newbie

Hi all

I seem to have succumbed to the pleasure of Mk1 ownership by buying this Rivage
http://bit.ly/1y4p1Kn

I know the interior isn't everyone's cuppa but it's growing on me…

Absolutely loving it in this weather :)Dan

Hey mate

Welcome to the forum and thanks for parting with your hard earned cash!

Looks a tidy motor mate, I'm loving the weather at the minute too, makes even the stubborn of tin top owners to want a cabby

I was a bit 'oh' about the interior at first cause of what you said, but I think it's just that initial 'oh thats different', looks like it's been done well

Are you joining us for the Annual Gathering later in the month?

Hi Dan and welcome to the MK1 madhouse!

The car looks really good as for the interior, guess it's an acquired taste.
Mind you I've seen many fair louder than this one!

Cheers all.

Yes, I've joined the NE group but to be honest with 5 kids and all their out-of-school commitments it's hard to get to many meets. A mid week evening at a pub say up on the moors would be nice at this time of year though.

Re the interior - yes, it's been really nicely done and it's very comfortable - I just would have chosen a blue for the leather closer to the paint colour, or perhaps even black :)As I say, getting used to it though and it certainly gets more admiring comments than the un-restored original tatty vinyl of my 1972 Type 2 microbus!

First dumb question then - what chance have I got of sourcing a replacement air intake pipe (ie from below rad to MAF)? The gaffa tape and alu hose is letting the engine bay down something rotten!
