Originally I was saving to buy a newer car but after falling in love with the aesthetics of my parents I decided to to pick up a mk1 instead, and after the drive home from buying it I fell in love with everything about it. I'll admit to jumping in head first and buying the car without having it properly checked over with the view that I should have enough money set aside to sort out anything that may come up. But hopefully I can get some advice on getting it up to scratch as I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing when it comes to cars!
Never thought I'd be driving a car the same age as me, but buying it is easily one of the best things I've ever done!

That sounds wrong! Sorry mate, couldn't resist!
Welcome to the forum - we don't bite, I promise!
Glad you found us and a MK1, hopefully you can get the little jobs sorted quickly. I just posted up on your door handle post.
Get some pics up of it for us to look at - we like that
Let us know if you need any help

I've only taken the one myself, the second is from the listing when I got it. There's more surface rust on it now than in the second picture! And the paint job will sort that and the different shades of white on the body, bonnet and kit. Also the sticker in the back window is going too!

Haha hairyarse, only a sick mind would spot that out of the entire thing!
Busted!
That looks tidy, I love the wheels.
Volksfest Bristol is coming up soon which isn't a million miles away from you, would be worth you popping along and meeting some other members
