Or some original vw ones …… ebay number 332256365791 and 332256365757
You need a left and right hence the 2 item numbers but at £75 for the originals you may want to go aftermarket as they are £22 up to you.

Are these correct? I have googled but struggling to get a close up on the decals - many cars seem to have them removed now days.

Yes those are correct. Stone guards are for the arches. Make sure you put the sport line stickers on the right side of the car.

Those arch guards are incorrect.
I know there was a seller on EBay who said those pictured like mine are wrong.
But they are mistaken.
These are fitted to car arches off the car. The extra actually wraps around the back of the arch.
I’ve got these on stock if you want correct ones.

Yes your “sportline” inscription should be in red as opposed to black.

After having the injectors replaced my Sportline does pick up and drive better but I am have an ongoing issue with the idle.
Running too low.
I think it needs a good tune with timing light. I have this booked in.
Question: would a faulty injector have disrupted the running?
Secondly, and more importantly, what fuel should I use (I feel the need to keep apologising for my ignorance) but should I use Premium unleaded or normal unleaded? I am getting conflicting responses the more people I ask.
FYI the lastest with my little project is getting the drivers door finally sorted - dent and drop sorted plus the rear offside quarter panel dent and scratches sorted at a local coachworks.
Edging it toward the step up from where it was which will be a really smart looking and nice running Sportline to enjoy.
Rattle and wind noise from hood starting to bug me. Chortle I may be in touch…..

Check the air idle screw.
There’s a viton O ring that goes flat allowing air to pass through. Can cause erratic running etc.

I found Super unleaded best for my DX engine, they will run on normal 95 RON unleaded no problem but the timing needs to be retarded, I found my car was lumpy on tick over and my MPG dropped when using normal unleaded, I ran for about 12 months on normal unleaded then changed back to 97 - 99RON super unleaded and it's alot better in both performance and MPG.
Just make sure you have run though a good couple of fuel tanks of which ever type you want to use before getting the timing set up, it would be worth getting the CO checked also if you have replaced the fuel injectors, about 2% CO is what you are looking for.
