New member with bruised hands and fingers

New to this lark.. need confirmation on wether I own a Mk1 or Mk2 Golf….. its on DVLA as first registered in 1989.. and 1800 engine auto transmission by the way.

Help appreciated

Welcome to the Club first of all.

To answer your question, it can only be a MK1 because VW never made a Mk2 cabby they waited till the Mk3 which is commonly known as the Mk3.5!  :thumbs:

So post up a picture or two of yours for us to see and tell us a little more about it.  :)

Will be a regular visitor here with lots of questions as doing a full restoration currently have the engine and gearbox out so can give the engine bay a good clean up.
