Hello there
My name is Don and I have just bought my first VW. It is a 1982 3 door 1.6 Gti (CWM787C). Got it from a friend who has had a few jobs done on it but lost interest.It needs painting and puttIng back together. It has come with a 2.0 16v that I am going to fit.
I Have a lot of experience of restoring older classics and still own a couple but this car I will use as a daily driver.

I will put a project thread up when I get going with it

Thanks for the warm welcome :)
Would be great to meet up with other local people and have a chat. They'd need to be pretty close as I drive an Imp and we all know how many headgaskets to the mile they get…!
