Scirocco owner

Hello all,

I have a Scirocco GTII it is currently running an AAZ engine, I wrote it off a few months ago and bought it back from my insurer, just bent a few panels on passenger side which I have sorted to a fashion (good enough for me just now). I was thinking about putting 1.3 MK2 Golf engine into it that I have had lying in my garage for a few years, which brings me here, I am looking for a front R/H engine mount from a 1.1 or 1.3 MK1, I have scoured the internet looking for one and a few local scrappys, no joy, so was wondering if anyone on here might be able to point me in the right direction or maybe have one.

Just found out on ETKA there are two types, the one I want mounts the altenator to the block as in the above picture.

Ever thought about asking your friendly VW Parts department dealer to look up the pictures and the part numbers so you can do (at least a rough comparison)?  

Just not sure and of course tempting fate in the respect of the Knowledge we have here.
But we talking three crossed platforms here, MK2 engine, MK1 part and a Sky Rocket.

I know there's a lots of crossover parts and I wish you good luck in your search, also giving you a 'Bump' up to the top of the Forum into the bargain!

Had a bad experience with local VW dealer (Benfield Dumfries) so dont go there any more.

Sky Rocket!!!
Take it this is local jargon for a Scirocco never heard that one before, only been here for a wee while and am allready learning.

Forgot to mention MK2 engine has SPi fitted from an old MK2 facelift Polo I used to have, worked better than the old Pierburg.

Yes the term 'Sky Rocket' was what the dealers down South used to call them back in the 80's when I used to sell them!  

I found a mount on Facebook, last place I expected, on a group called MK1 Golf parts for sale, Grandaughter was well chuffed as it was her idea to try Facebook, the guy has to check his parts filing system  to find it (mine is a heap in the corner) and said he will get back to me soon, so heres hoping.
