This is our 'Barn find'.

It had been used as a chicken shed, quite literally - that were living in it, for around 8 years before we came across it.

It has polished up quite well and the hood is good. seats cleaned up as well but the rest of the interior is shot so interested in any interiors for sale.

Chassis is very good, just a bit of rot in the outer sills, O/S was worst so have had one fabricated and fitted, will do the N/S over the winter.

Mechanically good too. Needed a fuel accumlator and HP pipe, filler neck, WUR and aux air valve and away it went - oh and a brake flexi for the MOT

My son is out enjoying it, as you can see. Why is it that he get all the fun and I get all the work ???O_o 20140713_153935.jpg 20140713_153945.jpg IMG-20140715-WA0000.jpg IMG-20140715-WA0002.jpg IMG_3366.JPG 10256803_10152202880650872_2086201835536468515_n.jpg

Another one saved!  Don't see many in that colour either, I think some on here say cabbys are for the 'birds' anyway.   I am really liking the look of the small bumper ones now, would love to have an original 1980 Brazil Brown GLi.

Welcome to the forum mate, good find!

Not such a bad job was done on the respray by the looks of things either. Hope to see it at some shows, like the above I like a cabby with small bumpers!

Cheers, the respray had already been done when we found it.
Polished up OK though, chicken s*** must be a good body protector !!
Not the original colour either, it used to be brown, but I think that blue is a great colour.

Haha yeah it must be!

Yeah you can see the original colour inside the bay and in where you have took the interior out

I quite like the blue, any idea of what the paint code is?
