Newbie to this just wanted to say hello

Hi all im new to this im 17 ive got a mk1 golf driver 1.3 that i have had scince i was 14 as a project payed for it all myself hence why it is taking so long , i originally wanted to drive it as soon as i pass but carnt get insurance under 4k so its staying in the garage whilst i drive a daily for a year or two whilst its in the garage though its going to have a hart swap (1.8 20vt) 
As i am a welder and fabricator the build has all been ideal , so anyways i was just looking to say hello

very nice lil jel my self in white   keep it old school go for a nice carb set up wont be many left by the time every one and his wife have dropped a 1.8t in a mk1 lol and this may help insure the car in ur dads or mums or any1 over 40 put ur self as a named driver why any one whould pay that is nuts what they are sayin you will wright the car off  

I know the insurance is rediculuss and i know everone is doing it but its just something i would like to do and my mate is engine converting his mini and we are competitive so i deffonaitly want a 1.8 20vt plus i love the enternal chatter noise and i suppose it just looks good in the bay

No sorry brother i wont be attending as the golf wont be out untill the 29th of this month :/ where is the show to /meet ? And thanks for the welcoming into the club guys it really makes the diffrence when you got a project and you got people to give you some inspiration means alot thankyou one and all
