new girly mk1 member

hi i'm Emily, i've always loved VWs, i have a 1303 beetle and after 5 years of driving her i felt i wanted something with a bit more go!! so she is having a well earned rest on the drive. i then treated myself to a mk1 cab golf. having a water cooled car is good but i must remember to check the water!!!! (as my beetle was air cooled) all my cars, well all two are girls of course, so anyway i have recently refurbed the wheels, very nice, just need to respray the rest of her now and buy a new hood. (hopefully mohair) well hope to chat soon and meet some of you guys and girls EM.

 P.s i'm going to smokey joes on the 27th for the cornwall mk1 spring get together SEE YOU THERE!!!

Mmm i know it would specially as my original hood has now shrunk accross the middle,has anyone bought one from Evil-bay?what are they like? She's having a full respray in the same original colour soon and i have just bought a set of coilovers to bring her closer to the earth! Having them fitted this weekend cant wait…

hey yep tibby is now ground bound back and front lowered with coil-overs.

had the back wound down a bit more today, i have also learned how to changed spark plugs, not just to top up water and oil. lol"!!

hey it was really good to see everyone at smokey joes. really impressed with the turn out. all the golfs were fab, be nice to see more next time, especially those of you who couldn't make it well hope to meet up with you all soon

hiya well i'm still looking into getting my hood, not sure yet where i'm going to get mine. i've looked on the internet and they're cheaper if you can fit them yourself-vinal of course being cheaper than mohair. if i find somewhere local i'll let you know

From one girly to another(well I might be a tad old for a girly!!) but welcome anyway.  Got my hood done at carhood warehouse..they came out and fitted it, mohair was same price as vinyl too…try them if they are near you ..    nice car by the way.
