mk1 caddy
Just thought I say a quick hello to all the boys and girls. My names Ryan from hull and I am currently restoring a 89 mk1 caddy.I was used to driving and working on/modifying newer cars (my old polo 6n2) but always had a thing for mk1's especially caddy's so I got rid of my polo and bought myself one. Its my first full restoration so I thought I join up, pay up and hopefully be able to find all the info and parts I may need along the way.
This was from the day I picked it up. It was in a state but I'm happy to say that since then lots of things have changed. Still not road worthy and a lot more work, time and money to plough into it but I have every confidence that it will be on the road some time soon. Aiming for summer so I can get back into the show scene. Anyway thanks for reading and I will get a build thread up over the next few days

Hey man welcome, I'm new too but I like the look of the work you did on the polo. Incidentally I saw a cracking mk1 polo for sale on eBay recently.

Welcome, that looks like it could be a brave restoration, or is it pretty solid just missing some panels etc?

Cheers mate believe it or not it only took 2weeks to get it to being like that from a pretty much standard satin grey polo. Custom widened rear arches and all sorts I can send u the link to my old thread if you'd like to check it out but please don't tempt me with more cars haha

It was quite brave in all fairness mate but I have a good set of mates that like to help out and point me in the right directions if needed there was a fair bit of rust and rot but I have sorted all that now so I would class it as a pretty solid truck now and I have got new panels too
Thanks for the welcomes as well
