hi newbie from billingham in teeside

hi looking to buy a modded mk1 coming from my evo x rs fancy something retro as im a 80s child lol, ive seen a mk1 turbo on here near me but a bit green in golfs, is there any knowlagble members near me to have  a look or advice would be appreciated the cars in bishop Auckland cheers nat

Hi and welcome to the club, if your from the northeast we have a regional page on the forum and on facebook, unfortunately i know nowt about turbo'd cars. is it an origonal turbo technics or a 1.8t conversion?

hi cheers for response its a g60 with a turbo says its got a gear box leak is there anyone local who can do this cheers

Hi mate, im from yarm which isnt too far from billingham.  Id come along for a look but im away with work until the beginning of august.  If the car is still around then or you go to look at another id pop along with you.
  Have you seen this car yet?.  If you get as many details of the car as you can off the seller im sure between us we can draw up a list of checkpoints to steer you in the right direction.  Im not overly familiar with turbo conversions but am doing a 16vG60 conversion at the moment so ive got a good insight into most things.  Let us know how your getting on with it
