hey guys thanks for the warmly welcoming. I've got some big plans :)

But the biggest plan at the moment is to save for some good coilovers and fix up one or two minor pieces of the rust 1cm in size.

Today i decided to give it a good buffing and hopefully if weather holds up ill have some good shoots of the car at one of the soccer stadiums tonight alongside some other friends which im planning on uploading :)..  :thumbs:

Welcome JP, now that looks like it will be the star of a show one day, nice one Mate!

Out of interest, how hard are you finding it to get spare parts down there?

Maybe to soon to judge but again a warm welcome.  :thumbs:

hey golfcabrio, spares are easy to come by. We have a company called Midas and Goldwagen which basically stocks anything you need for an mk1. I know with Goldwagen they import most of their parts for Germany and pricing is not to bad.

For example:

Outer cv + boot + Greese = R140 converted it is around 12 euros..
Doorhandles = R40 converted is around 4 euros..

Thanks, im planning on making it a show car.. but its a long process :) :thumbs:

Hey chortle thank you :)

old cable, looks of things more than two strands where damage.. lucky this never broke and i got stuck somewhere.

new cable! (::

I also got sponsored a set of 4 new bridgestone tyres!! (Thanks Gustav & Terri), which are most likely been fitted tomorrow :)
