Hi from Cornwall

​​Hi to all avid vdub Golf mk1 fans, my name is Graeme and I am based in St Ives in summer and Spain over winter. I have been involved in the vdub scene for many years and worked as a technician for main franchised VW dealers for over 20 years.
I  have owned many types of VW's from K70 & early Beetles to type3 & 4's but the Golf has always been special to me as I gained my spanner rash serving an apprentiship with VW mainly working on the Mk1 & 2 Golf's.
I currently own a Left Hand Drive Spanish plated 92 Clipper GTI, right hand drive 89 cabrio clipper carb model and a Polo estate for every day use.
This is a great site for Mk1 info from like minded peeps and seeing your photos of these great cars getting a new lease of life makes me smile, so keep up the top work on all your projects.

Thanks for that Borednow will keep it in mind, Its been handy having a descent vdub parts supplier in Redruth, as there is nothing around me over in Spain. So I have to take back loads of spares for peoples cars every trip. Do you know if anybody is breaking a Cabrio mk1 down this way?
Also is there an old school vdub mobile mechanic in operation down here…cheers  wrenchrash.

I dont know of any mobile mechs mate, sorry. If its summat simple feel free to pop over and we can have a go.
