Hi. Does anyone know what the internal door panel is called, the one where your arm rests just under the window, the one which is prone to splitting? Thanks, Scott. 

It's called a door capping.

It's the UVA rays in the sunshine that affects them.
You can buy a product called 303 aerospace protectant. They use it a lot on boats and outdoor stuff like hot tubs.
It's s UV protectant but like suncream for your plastics.
