Hello from Maidstone

Hi guys,

I brought a mk1 golf cabriolet 1993 about 6 weeks ago now, and have been doing a few little bits so far i.e servicing and have had problems with the ignition system which I have managed to fix.

Just want to say what a good forum this is for help with the car.

Yesterday I fitted some budget coilovers as the front suspension was shot - and now I am having issues either the front coils rubbing against the tyre. I am only running on 14 inch 6j p slots. Has anyone else had the same issue? Or know where I have gone wrong?

Thanks and nice to meet you,

Alex

Hello and welcome Alex. how bad is it rubbing? Sounds like you need to space the wheels out a bit.

Well I think the previous post is a very good question.
However I wanted to say, welcome to the Club and good luck with this problem.
Although it must be something fairly simple I would hope!

Welcome Alex, thanks for stopping-by ;) Get some pics up of your MK1 for us to enjoy? It may help diagnose the rubbing too, seeing the 'stance'
