Box Fresh from Lincs

Hi,

Just joined the club as I have had my MK1 for seven years and need some inspiration to get it finished. All that remains is interior in (seats, dash, sundry trim, door seals etc) and then get her MOT worthy. Will post pictures tomorrow as I have a few on my phone.

Is it feasible to have her ready for the gathering????????????

Got a couple of queries which if anyone can help out with would be great: -

1. Poor fixings where the console screws in the dash - how do you repair or is it a new dash.
2. Where should the wind trim on the door seal start???

Would love to have her ready so I can start to enjoy the car following some disasterous experiences in the world of automotive restoration.

Ref the console, do you mean the tab each side of centre console where you screw through in to dash underside? If so, there should be those metal tab washer things for self tappers to go in to, if that makes sense?

Couple of photos pre-move. She is now in Lincoln and ready for the works to start. Will get some more pictures on after tonight.

Thanks for the advice Hairyarse. Will get some photos so you can see the bit I am on about. From memory it is the fibre board 'bracket' that appears to have given up.

Couple more photos taken last night in the new home.

Works delayed by sisters plumbing emergency but we are making some progress, however slow.

More to follow. Should I move this thread into another forum or is it OK here as I would like to make regular posts to try and maintain momentum.
