GTI Spring Festival, Santa Pod - 11th April **This Sunday**

Some are going Sat some are going Sunday should be good though mate.

Im sure we have a clubstand so look out for us.

Convoy - Let us know

Ian (Zambo) and I will be heading from junction 15 on the M1 into Santa Pod.  It is around 15 mins drive.  Anyone wishing to join us in a convoy, please be at the Shell garage next to the Toby pub for 08:45Hrs at the latest.  Give yourself at least 15 mins extra travel time for traffic.

Organising Meet points along the M1

As people will be coming from everywhere, it would be good to know if people in your area would like to meet somewhere prior to heading to Northampton.  If you'd like to mention roughly where you are - others near you may like to meet up with you first before heading to us.

We hope to have a large-ish convoy for the trip to the Pod and catch it on the old camcorder  

Post up where you are and see if there is anyone local to you.

Unfortunately you are going to have to take me off the list.
I had my mk1 back over the weekend but it has gone back to Midland VW for some niggles to be sorted out and will not be ready by Sunday :-(
The main problem is that the current breather setup is not good enough to deal with the crankcase gases when the revs get up. Meaning that I would have to stop every 40 odd miles or so and empty the catch tank :-( not my idea of fun !!

It will have to wait a little longer for its first outing…

Gammy - only McD's is on the A45 (two of them one at Riverside and one at Welly) bud…. We aint got time for kavlfc's drive through challenge on Sunday fella… I know where your going with that lol  :wink:

vdublew - Me and Zambo will probably be there at 8.30am to catch everyone before we head off at 8.45am mate so should catch you.  Nice one mate.

Had some of them gremlins myself, I had smoke pouring out the dashboard on Monday night, the main feed for the light switch came off and rested itself on the little earth for the dash lights, by the time I'd lifted the bonnet and disconnected the battery there was smoke coming from all sides of the dashboard  8O  8O
Spent the last 2 nights removing what was left of the burnt out wire and checking the loom for damage (luckily nothing more than singe marks on the insulation of the wires it passed next to). Tonight connected it all back up and everything is working fine   …… for the last 5 years I've had a 13mm spanner sat in the centre console just in case,  on Monday it paid off BIG TIME  8)  8)  8)

I'll gladly take the last place on the club stand with Mrs BigM's sportline if it's still available….only catch is that I won't be able to make it there very early (would I need to get there for a certain time?) due to an evening engagement on Sat…..and me being rubbish at getting up the morning after!!  
I'll completely understand if it's no good getting there late.

We have decided to come in the Mrs Sportline :-)
I was so so disappointed that my Mk1 wouldn't be ready that I couldn't face it, but had a change of heart - so we will be there on Sunday :-)

We will aim to be at the Shell garage for 8:45am.
Coming down from Stafford so it is about an hour and a half drive…

We are both paid up members !!
