By the way, this event is on Sunday but on the day before (Saturday) "The Retro Show" (60s-80s cars) is taking place, so I'm making a full weekend of it. There's a RWYB on Saturday too, so hopefully I'll be able to sort myself out for a few runs at this too. The classes on Saturday are:
A - Under 1600cc
B - 1600cc - 1999cc
C - 2000cc - 2999cc
D - 3000cc+
E - All forced induction
F - 2 Wheels
X - Non Road Legal (inc. vehicles on slicks)

Hmmmm, unfortunately as I see things, you'd fall into class E, my car just meets class B, so you'd have your work cut out against BMW 2002 Turbos, Saabs, Lotus Esprit and other early adopters of the turbocharger.

There's camping AT the Pod! I'm camping Saturday night, might even check out to see if you can camp Friday night too.

Unsure, they normally move around the car parking area depending on how big the event is. For example, I went to Bug Jam once, and the car park was the other side of the entrance gates, because the whole site was given over to camping! But normally, its (if you imagine where the drag strip is) on the right, from behind the start line to around 100-200m up the track.

You can check out http://www.santapod.co.uk/e_introduction.php and http://retroshow.co.uk/. I've already phoned them up (01234 782828) because I was going to buy an advance ticket, only to find out they'd have charged a ?1 booking fee and there's no discount for advanced tickets! I asked about going to the Saturday, camping overnight and attending on Sunday and its all cool.
Edit: just phoned them again, gates open at 8am Saturday, so it means its an early start or find somewhere else to stay on Friday night.

- how much per person to turn up on the sunday?
- is the 15 quid per head to camp and go into the two shows or just camping?
- how much are the 1/4 mile runs on each day?
- are children under a certain age? free if so what age?

?15 per person if turning up Sunday only
?30 per person for both days, gates open 8am Saturday. Camping is free
?20 per day for unlimited number of runs on the 1/4 mile. You'll need to bring your driving licence.
Kids under 13 are free entry, up to 3 per adult
Since some of us are going for Saturday too (we'll set up the club stand early-ish), those going on Sunday can simply make their way directly to Santa Pod, or if they wish perhaps meet at key services before? Unsure how they're running the club passes thing, I'll get back to you on that.
I'd suggest that us going on Saturday, meet up beforehand outside so we can be sure to enter together, and thus find a pitch and camp together. If people are coming from different directions (north/south) then the ideal meeting point is after any motorway services, its a bit confusing around there because its deep in the countryside, but if anyone's going in the morning then we can liase this later on.

Most/all of the relevant info is on Unsure how they're …et back to you on that.
At the Spring Festival you paid at the gate, then as you got by the car park a couple of stewards asked if you were showing/racing or just spectating, if you are showing/racing then they just sent you round towards the strip and from there another steward told you where your stand is.
Paul, as you are going on Saturday for the Retro show, they might not put us by the strip on Saturday as I think the two shows are run by different organisers, so the stand may need moving if they do give us a strip side position on Sunday.

What I meant was…….some of us are going to the retro car show the day before, so we'll arrive on Saturday, do the stuff you do at that show, then camp overnight. Then get up early on Sunday morning before the queuing people arriving that day are here, so we can set up the stand.
