Can you put us alongside the strip itself please  :wink: ?? you had a couple of clubs alongside the strip at the Spring Festival, thought to myself when I saw them  "that's a good position to have", gives you plenty to watch while on the stand.

We need to know how many cars are going to be on the club stand, can I say 10 and confirm it? And the first 10 will be guaranteed a place, any latecomers will have to take a chance.

Does anyone have any ideas (or know if we're allowed) to erect a marquee on tarmac? The only way I can think of, is to bring a drill with some masonry drill bits, and to fit rawl plugs and screws with repair washers; or possibly, heavy weights at each corner.

i should be going, put a face to a few of the names on here,  not sure if my all black cabby will be ready but will turn up in my helios blue gti cab ( daily runabout ) if not

paul, i can bring that seat up with me ( think it will fit on the back seat  :dontknow: ) if you can take it from there ? had to let the drivers seat go but saved the good passenger one

We were planning to go to this one anyway.
How much are the tickets and what time we got to be there for on Sunday morning?
How many cars will be our maximum looks like we could be looking at 15 or 20 if it keeps going like this

One last question do they give an award for the slowest genuine attempt at the 1/4 mile?

I'm a deffo Paul, but i'll be in the Mk2 Valver….

Danny has allocated us 15 club stand spaces.

By the way, this event is on Sunday but on the day before (Saturday) "The Retro Show" (60s-80s cars) is taking place, so I'm making a full weekend of it. There's a RWYB on Saturday too, so hopefully I'll be able to sort myself out for a few runs at this too. The classes on Saturday are:

A - Under 1600cc
B - 1600cc - 1999cc
C - 2000cc - 2999cc
D - 3000cc+
E - All forced induction
F - 2 Wheels
X - Non Road Legal (inc. vehicles on slicks)

so expect to see me chasing (hopefully beating!) the likes of Escort RS2000s and similar cars, in class B!
