Is there a stand at BVF this year?

British Volkswagen Festival - 4-6 July - Malvern

Just looked at the events calendar and it clashes with Retro Car Show/GTI Festival.

Does that mean there's no stand at BVF this year?  :cry:

It doesn't preclude it but so far you're the only one who's showed interest in it…. Its not that massive a club so when 2 shows clash, what's happened previously is either both shows are poorly attended, or one show there's hardly anyone and the other is okay. Its not up to me to say, best to PM ant5 if you want to organise a club stand at BVF.

Can I persuade you to come to Retro Car Show/GTI Festival instead?

I understand, but deffo BVF for me - been going every year for the past 14 years and wouldn't miss it for anything.

Its the first year I've actually had a Mk1 to put on the stand too - typical!

BVF is probably one of the biggest and best shows in the VW calendar, I have been attending this show for a few years now and it just gets better and better. I have personally found that this show gets forgotten about here because of the "its too far" and "it clashes" attitude. i have tried to get a stand together in previous years but to no avail.     
Yet All Types show gets a stand :dontknow: this show is a fraction the size of BVF!!

This show is undoubtedly the BEST ADVERTISEMENT for the club, with folks coming far & wide, and ABROAD.

Ill be there camping from the friday - bring it on :mrgreen:

I think the success of BVF is that its a bit of an "all rounder" as shows go, attracting all ages and very family-friendly.

could we not have like a mini stand (no i dont mean those little cars lol) we could do two meets at once double the club advertisement…

i used to do a lot of work at santa pod, and the local publican doesnt like me as I used to ask him about the peas at the bottom of the garden!

If one of you takes charge, start a thread and lets me know who is organising i can then can make sure you have the right bits, (banner etc..)

This envolves contacting BVF to see if they have any club stand plots left !

I've just been onto BVF site, the way I read it…the deadline for booking a club display is today   . Might have left this one too late for  club display  :? .
