You may notice the opening on the mount now has a use as do the rest of the other totally irrelivant mounts.

well this sums it up me mate has ditched vw`s in favour of a mitsubishi lancer evo 6 tommy makinen extreme! This bloke can drive let me tell ya hes raced karts since aged 7 hes now 40 should have gone F1 did`nt not enough cash, his evo is a light weight vers has no abs he nearly stuffed it under the back of an artic the other nite in the wet cos those big old brembos wouldnt let go of the disks and now he wishes he had brought the lesser version with abs as he knows 350 bhp is deadly without it in a road car not a race car!

paint



Straight out the gun using a 2.0ml fluid cap, (PRIMER GUN) ?15 a litre paint and GUNWASH as thinner yeah i been told you cant use that too!
funny thing is everything i paint aint got a dry patch on it. i keep it wet all over!  i`l have to dig out some pics of a few mk1s ive painted with no fish eyes no ripples no sinkage just lickable paint and even door gaps!

the masking left on the fill vent shows no wet or dry or compound has been used after paint applied (cant polish maskin tape)

Still think im full o poo?

Aint i just the most annoying big head!

I paint for cash i am a panelman/painter! you want a ripple free finish on anything and i`l lay money down that says i`l match or exceed anyone in this game for under half the price reputable bodyshops would charge! with 5year coverage on paint and preperation defect. That means if anything shows thru i will redo it free of charge! How cool is that?
Im out to promote myself thats what this is all about and im fed up lining employers pockets to the max. When the car im building hits the shows you will be impressed.

A change of attitude

Yeah ben i cant argue with that!
thing is i came on board in a very polite manor simply to share my knowledge with everyone and the attitude occured after several offensive pm`s and i didnt take kindly to certain members insisting they knew more about my work than i do!
I know i stepped on a few toes that was not my aim i dont like upsetting people but unfortunately for me it always goes that way when i say my bit and it seems as if my claims are instantly dismissed as untrue leaving me with no choice other than going out of my way to convince doubters im actually right in my claims and what makes it more frustrating is im tryin to help people and save them thousands of pounds!
Take the paint scenario for a start we all love ripple free gloss dont we?
well ive been to too many shows to remember now but i remember this i have not honestly seen one paint job on a mk1 worth anywhere near the cost and ive known some to cost around the 20 grand mark how have these scammers managed to squeeze that kind of cash out of some of you?
 id love that kind of dough for one job id only do three a year happy days, Truth is i turn work out a whole lot better for around ?2000! id have it for a week and you would be blown away cos it really would be straight and look brand new with no additional excuses for incompitance,
I really want to smash the granny out of the bullcrap so called paint specialists come out with the same goes for our west country bearded rip-off merchant  that man is no good nor are his products!
Anyways i hope this little statement resolves the friction and with the evidence ive produced hopefully we can move on and start over and work together to build the good and bin the bad and all have mk1 monsters worth the time cost and effort!
This is how straight up i am i never went to school i spent most of my time flying around on the back wheel of motorcross bikes left school with 0 qualifications my english is crap i cant do maths and i got so many bad points its a joke blah blah but im a self taught panel beater/painter, mechanic, upholsterer, auto electrician an anything else car related and ive never ever had any trouble getting a job in the motor trade or been dismissed for being crap at my job! So do you see what im getting at?
Basically i do the jobs as good as they should be done for a small cost so why are these self appointed specialists getting away with mugging yous off and wallowing in a world of make believe superiority when in reality they cant even match a regular down the road bodyshop doing mainly trade work or repair an engine as well as a small family garage?
You people allow this to go on and it will continue until more people like myself fight to get rid of these crooks from this scene.  
Too many Chiefs not enough indians as they say!

Hope this does`nt come across with bad attitude cos i really think im right in what im saying im just trying to do good for all of you not mug your wages out of your pockets!

Time to pull the plug on this site, Gona join another and do things different this time made too many mistakes here already and cos i have a concience i feel guiltly for putting a few noses out of joint even tho you tried to bully me off here!

had things turned out different id have gone out of my way to help you and im sure theres plenty i could have learned in other areas here im not stupid enough to think im the best and you cant teach me! I learned this tho i have got a market in my ideas and thats all that really matters now,

And lastly golfgod was the best i could come up with during drunkeness at xmas did you really think i believed that was me in reality?
A lot of you are wiser than some here and will make use of the little ive shown and might figure it out for your self i hope you do the effort will reward you for trying and i wish you well, :wink:

Nope, about 126 seconds each beam axle, about .5 seconds to check, repair and mark up each weld, quality welding is the one thing I know I am perfect about.

Shame y' aint sticking about, in time yer attitude may have changed.
Offer still stands, if y' in the midlands and want to improve yer welding, I'll teach y'.

search the patent offices see what comes up? i`l tell ya this you have to know the keywords to find it as ive been very shrewd about this as i know someone is going to be daft enough to try an do as you just said! and anyway you aint gona see a thing till all the legal stuff is fully completed and even then it will have the patent No stamped where it can be clearly seen not overlooked!
Good luck with the conversion hope it goes as smoothly as it did for me when done send me a pic look forward to that time!

On a slightly different vein………………..

I`ve built cars including a VX engined Westfield and a Ginetta 27 V8 and didnt need a servo  :wink:  They came in around 700kg (plus driver) and were fine on and off track.

I`m building a track based car and consider that if you get the leverage correct and the right mechanical advantage via a correctly sized pair of master cylinders then a servo is not necessary.

This would have many advantages including 1) removing any mechanical and leverage losses in the cross bar linkage as it is not needed 2) removing the dead feeling a servo gives 3) making the brakes very sensitive to foot pressure ie: you `feel` what the brakes are doing 4) Allows the front rear bias to be managed via a bias bar.

Discuss…………………………..(or I`m sure this has been tried and I`ll be shot down in flames  8O )
