Carb or injection - again!
Is injection more economic than carb? I heard, especially when cruising, injection is superior as it can adjust the fuel accordingly
Would injection give better performance?
Has anyone done this before and could someone put me in the direction of other threads discussing this?
Once again cheers for the help

You could possibly adapt some kind of EFI, but it would be a LOT of hassle for little gain.
My best advice is to put up with it as-is, or sell it and buy a GTI cabby, or do a "big" engine conversion rather than messing around with bits & bobs on it.

For now then I'll get my 2e2 set up better and I'll continue to collect parts for the 'big change' to come……

however if you're serious about injection the digifant ecu actually handles the 1.6 engine fine as a mate of mine found out many years ago. not so sure on the kjet lump I dont know of anyone who has tried.
either way though as above you'll need to swap the head for a GTI one so you got to ask is it really worth messing about with the 1.6 lump instead of just popping a complete 1.8 gti engine in?
