Why do you own a Mk1 Golf?
its the real 70's/80's driving appeal, the comfy seats, the wallowy suspension and the PATHETIC horn that keep me entertained and driving my mk1! they are easy to work on and actually very nippy for a 1.3 too!
shame they are so thirsty tho
Please don't call me fella- its deeply insulting to one whom is no such thing!

There are very few cars of a similar age that are as good looking! Not practical and affordable cars for the average person anyway!
Despite having sharp lines and a boxy shape, they still manage to blend in with modern traffic…so you don't feel like a prat! But, of course they're still distinctive enough to catch people's eye. Perfect!

Then when I grew up and developed a little more taste, I realised that the keen lines of the 80s squarer look was the one to go for, none of this cutesy rounded stuff - so I got a T25 camper, a Mk1 and a motorbike
Happy days

i love spitty's my step mum used to have one i wanted one just like it! damn lanky legs, i did offer to cut them off for him so he'd fit, but he wasn't enamoured with that idea. I couldn't afford the mint mgb in brg at the garage either lol. quite lucky really!
still jamie fits in the mk1 just fine (or did till i fitted the tt seats lmao).
