Whats it worth?

Hi All,
Ive just purchased a MK1 Cabriolet with a Mohair roof in black. no rips or damage any idea what it might be worth? rear window wont be included and it will just be the main Mohair fabric. Project is taking a different direction so will be look for a dark Navy Blue roof instead.

They're £235 new so certainly less than half that I guess. They usually go for 50-100 on ebay.

I may be interested if you still have it in a couple of months and you're not too far away.

as above if mohair in good nick no rips etc £50-£100

Thanks for the reply, as soon as the car has been moved to the restoration location i will advertise it in the for sale section.

Depends on condition and age, plus if it's been looked after properly. These need treating, so although it may look good it may be porous.

Can be had new for less than £200.00.

Plus it's already stretched to the frame on the car.
Refitting can be a mare especially around the window, as they can split, plus it's hard to re tension as the material you need to tension has been already cut off.

brilliant thanks for the help. on a seperate note can any body recommend a good supplier for a quality Mohair roof. would prefer to go with a recommended supplier.
