you very hands on and not affraid to do what you want, and while you probably do everything you can yourself, it still has to be exactly how it was in your head (unless it looks better) you clearly apreciate the original vw and you don't want to go too far from the golf look and have a car that looks like a boyracer. you are happy to have all GO an not much show. even if it does look the tits to me.

i don't think i'd see you hanging by Mc D's or with young girls.

the reason mine is rat i cos i have to work 60 hours a week to run it

Well I'm just me and I love my Mk1  

There is a type though as everyone who owns a mk1 is friendly…..as long as you have a mk1 as well!  :wink:

i'm not saying we all fit a type. but you know what i mean.

well then…. i suppose i'm layed back (so layed back that nothing fazes me), i'm very logical and find problems easy to solve (love problem solving and always spot potential problems before they happen).
i'm fun and willtry anything. i can get on with anyone accept for those people that think they MUST go one better then you ALL the time (i haneone so they have two…my friend has three so there friend has a whole van load) you know the sort :x .
'oh' and i love to be different (myself) even if that doen't conform to the norm.

No point bitchin about the maccy d's kids, everyone starts from somewhere! I used to like bodykitted renault 5s when i was 14! ops:  Its called being young! Taste develops with age 8)

You shouldnt judge a person by thier car, thats a problem I think many members on here need to address.

got nothing against anyone hanging outside Mc d's, untill they start acting a plonker and racing around the car park with no regard for otherpeoples cars. and if it goes wrong it's other cars at risk. (sorry, this happens around here)

but i love to see a group meeting. better than going out and mugging old people

Fair enough dude! I agree there are many idoits like that, but it aint limited to the young crowd, i see dozens more BMW drivers acting much worse on the road than your typical young 'un, and they usually fall into the supposedly responsible adult catagory lol! I'm giulty of judging the odd person from their car now and again, but I know I shouldnt :roll:

this might sound a bit weird now(waiting for man with white jacket to turn up)

    but it is a sort of reassurance thing with me, dont feel at ease unless i have a vw and it has to be a golf, suppose its what your used to , oh and the fact that i had a 1500 gls (w reg) that saved my life once, it turned over and skidded on its roof quite a way as well, the only injury i had was a slight cut on my head when i released the seat belt as the sunroof had shattered and i caught it as i got out, it was a right mess but the roof never collapsed. i have  an r32 now which is a cracking car but the original is still the best, hope i will always have a vw, been a vw driver for 22 years now and hope it continues, oh and lost count of how many i have owned but it is near that .
