also the mk2 escort bumpers COULD be genius! can you get a pic of them offered up to the car?

I haven't bought the bumpers yet but i am very aware they could look awful but as i said i think its worth it for ?10-20 i can always sell them on ebay for that much if it looks pants.

if the old paints not to bad and body is straight i find that fine/medium scotch pads and prep wipes(halfords) for degreasing the quickest and easiest way.
Would be good to see some photo's as you go.
PS. love the colour choice!

If you go www.combicolor.co.uk and give them a call they will send you a RAL chart with true paint colours on it or theres a downloadable one but its not very accurate!

heres some pics of the front, it looks a lot better than it is at the moment this is after only one coat(5-7more to go) and i did it outside just as it was getting cool so theres about twenty flies stuck in the paint, which i can sand out but its a bit frustrating watching them fly and get stuck into the lovely paint……
One cheep way to stop flies gettin in the paint is get down to wilkinsons and but a gazebo with sides
They are hexaganoal and come with like net curtain material on the sides
I dont think one is big enough to get a whole car in but you could put it up around the parts you are painting and hey presto a makeshift paint booth!!

I see you decided not to smooth the rear doors, do you intend to change the wheels?
