"Surely there must be a Very Ghey Saxo in Pontefract with stretched tyres on and a whippit on the back seat?!

These wheels are actually for a saxo, chandlers old saxo on ED38

Can't see why you'd lose faith, I've just read the whole 4 pages and there's no real issues there. Post #38 on it quotes the legislation which defenitely proves they're illegal and there's mention of a number of other grey areas which could also lead to their being illegal (using tyre outside of manufacturer's guidelines –> dangerous –> illegal in CUR; not informing insurance –> lack of insurance).

is that really a police site?

well im with them they cant be road legal as they do portrude more than 30mm.

The police cant be expected to know everything about every law you know, there is lots! I take my hat off to them, just human beings doing a bloody hard job.

if you think its wrong (i.e. modding your car) chances are it is, just be sensible. And like they say having tryes like that, is asking for you to get pulled!

Maybe if you read what was being said properly? instead of having such a biggoted and negative anti police anything view you may learn something? the only people who fear the police or the law are criminals and those with criminal intent

if the cap fits? then maybe thats why your always shouting about it so much?

What job do you do then? cards on the table, and I can have a rip into your job, which i possibly know hardly anything about unless they have had a programme on tv about it?

I have had silly stretched tyres and never popped one off, however i can see both sides.

I would not go silly stretch now as i value my life more, i would however still go for a slight stretch ie 195/40s on a 7" rim

At the end of the day the only thing keeping you on the road is the tyre

when did i say i feared the police?

and my job well i trained as a 3d engineer did that for abit didnt like it now im jus doin a crappy part time job on a motorway services waiting for my car body repair course to start and hopefully an apprenticeship at a local specialists.

there ya go rip into me if you like not fussed.
