Make shure its a bosch rotary injector pump not the lucas cav pumps,as you will break the rotor  8O

You running on it now then Rov? Does it matter if a mk1's Bosch or CAV? I've yet to try the veg oil route…at the moment diesel is a penny cheaper than petrol here! Woohoo! If you think a mk1 diesel can do about twice as many to the gallon as an average petrol car I can wait until diesel costs twice as much as petrol before I lose out!

that citreon wont run on cooking oil mate   
running 70% cooking oil (tesco and asda cheap (round low 50p mark per litre)) and 30% diesel if finances run any lower will be running 100% cooking oil while weathers warm
done almost 24,000 miles since last december :?  started 50/50 then just kept whacking more cooking oil in…..
AAZ engine, had no probs at all (even with knackered cambelt tensioner (low charge)), followed berts advice and changed fuel filter after a few tanks, loves it just smells a bit funny remember always engage free-wheel when overtaking rozzers :mrgreen:

On the lookout for a "newish" diesel Golf in the near future, never
buying a Citroen again……its my first & last!.

Just want it to stop raining so I can get the MK1 out….. :pray:

i'm at about a 50/50 mix at the mo and will try it a bit mor oil less diesel next tank full but she runs sweet i occasionally get a little splutter but unsure what that is.

i got a Bosch pump she originally had a Lucas cav which was knakered after sat dry 4 7 years

LIDL have corn oil on offer 39p per litre.  i dont shop there honest my mam told me
