Heres mine…had it a week…. doesn't run without a head hitting cutting out every 10 mins, 10 miles, 10 secs…whatever it feels like…but it is beautiful:

Love the g60's on mk1's! You have to have 165/50's though or maybe 165/45's for super low profile but not so comfy ride.

Do you have a engine in that? Front looks VERY high?

Some lovely pics in this thread.

Indeed Smudge - I do love G60's, an understated wheel that looks good on any MK1

 Sweet ride bro!
Off topic but what's the ride like at that height? Do you have to be careful of the sump anywhere?

Post

It was a auto so sat lower than the sump, the ride was hard but I liked it! Lol

I'd imagine the ride to be firmer, I've just got used to not been overly concerned with lumps and bumps but it looks good at that hight!

hmmm I was going to run 195/45 15's on my G60's.
I take it handling is compromised with the stretch using 165?

For info I bought mine brand new from a vw dealership about 14 months ago & there were still about 40 something no. wheels left in stock. None of the black centre caps left in stock but I got these from ebay again new old stock
