S1 metal bumper dimensions please?
And honestly I feel It should be a simple enough task for a keen enthusiast to home engineer or at least with the right outside help? A seemingly straight forward piece of metal, After all that is what I'm Quickly and uncontrollably forced to keep reminding myself what they are.. Shiny simple 70s metalwork!
Now that said, For starters Things would be a hell of a lot easer If I had a set in front of me to work off.
Only on this occasion and theres probably going to be more… I don't Because I'm skint and round n round we go.
Also I have had an email reply from a local business after I emailed them A bunch of pics the reply as follows…
"No problem if you let me have sample or dimensions" and better still I can have them made out of whatever I like for a nice (Rough price) Which could turn out tasty? And so whether I have a bash at them or not I'm going to need some measurements Pleeeease.
I know its a long shot but if anyone can fill in some info for me and anyone else thinking of having a go? I for one will be a very grateful fella! Could be a laugh in it for you
Thanks Gav.

Gav dude, you really need to take a set into the fabricators for them to copy correctly. Rough dimensions will just turn out skank dude,You might be better taking you plastic bumpers in and get them to copy the dimensions of them, but reduce the sizes and lop the ends off. Either way its a mission dude.
My thoughts exactly mate! That's why I have contacted a couple of company's already one of witch I have mentioned only I don't have a set and there expensive, and if I did well I wouldn't be asking I don't have pals I could ask with small bumpers to lone me a set or run the measuring tape over so you can see my problem right?
I don't want to end up buying a set of even steel reps for close to 200 quid to look at them and measure them though that may have to be the case? I'm not interested in an exact replica either I'm not trying to fool anyone. Just a shiny set of custom bumps of the same rough dimensions (So they fit the car)
