I can't even get it off the ramps so I'm already a winner an without having to light-up my tyres!

AUQ 20vt, largely stock apart from custom intake/intercooler/exhaust, Remap from Jabba (what do you want? As much as possible! Hence it's not great on the road) A whiff of gas and a very sorted suspension setup, AVO coilovers etc. There's more in the car, that was on hard compound track slicks (poor 60') and there was a monster headwind at Pod this weekend. I've got some bigger jets and some drag radials for Bug Jam so hopefully 12.5, maybe better

Just been out in my mk1 cabriolet 8v 2.0 hot cam, twin 45's webers no LSD . 0-60 in 6.9 seconds. Felt and sounded awesome! Could have got a better start but had to abort runs as I lost the progression hole cover on the carbs!

Hi all I went gti spring fest 2016 and run 14.0866 103.3mph could of got more to much tyre spin on the start hoping to get a lsd 1.8t Agu k04 mapped by unicorn developmentpaul_c said
Following from a suggestion on http://www.vwgolfmk1.o…iewtopic&t=43032&start=20, here is the official Mk1 Golf Owners club 1/4 mile sprint league table. The rules are simple:
1. It must be a Mk1 Golf.
2. The time must be done at a recognised facility with accurate timing gear, eg sprint runs at a show such as GTI Festival, GTI Inters or another RWYB day.
3. We'll take it on good faith about times but if anyone questions it, then we'd need to see a scan of the timing slip, etc.
I appreciate many members aren't into sprinting (or breaking their cars!) but hopefully it will prove useful, since it always provides some entertainment value and can serve as an inspiration to possible future mods, also it will be a useful reference for what 'package' of mods work/don't work in improving performance.
