my 'euro look' mk1!

Jammk1 if you want your paint to really shine, use some 1200-1500 wet and dry, you look to have a few "dull" spots were its been painted before, if you wet sand with a fine grit paper 1200-1500 then t cut and polish back up and finish with a decent wax it will absolutely gleam!

really? might give it a go! yeah there are a few patches that are a bit dull! iv just spent a freakin fortune on those polishes though so might have to wait till next month!

think it means i spent a years wage on wheels and cant afford to buy springs or paint!

Who's going to mention rust will only cause a fail if it's holes within 12 inches of a suspension/body/seatbelt mounting point? :wink:

Seriously though it's all about sunbleached paint, worn seats, unrestored original and generally well-used. Then slam it and roll it on chrome with a fat nose down stance. :mrgreen:

Personally it's a bit too American for me, I'l stick with my shat look. :twisted:

I would have said that Beetle was rat look, but shows what I know! Let's face it, tatty looking VW's have bags of character and are infinitely cool, which other makes just can't seem to get away with (e.g - the rotting white L reg Fiesta's I always see just can't pull it off   )
