Mk1 golf LCD clock replacements

Right, been doing a bit of digging and i HOPE to have a direct replacement lcd clock for all NON mfa cars. this is a common problem with most cars lcd either black or missing digits.

Question is how many do i buy? if your interested can you please show your interest here.

Ill confirm prices etc as soon as i have proven the replacement.

if the screen can come off the circuit board then i recon it should be the same, if not then they will be mfa/non-mfa specific. personalyl id say you'd have more demand for the mfa ones, you may even be able to fit themfa vboard onto the non-mfa clocks, id imagine its the same.  other thing is i think vdo and motometer would be different, plus there were a few different designs of clocks over the years…

Mk2s have the same screens anyway, easy to find in scrapyards etc still?

So it's easier to buy a set of mk2 clocks than buy a new replacement screen for a few ££

its easier to buy a new lcd, then you only have to strip clocks once, plus less risk of damaging the screen when removing from the donor. if the screen itself comes off easy then you will have a much wider market for these than if they only fit to the mk1 non-mfa rev counter :)

mk2s arnt so easy to find in the scrappies, and i suspect in a few more years they'll be just as rare as mk1s. so im sure you'll have a market for these as long as price isnt too high :)
