Mark 1 found- come along to see all 6!!!

Guys- im in need of some help!!!

I work for Volkswagen in Colchester, Essex.

As you probably know the New Golf ^ is launched this week, we as a dealer are having a launch night Thursay 15th.

Im trying to oragnaise the complete range of Golfs for display, to show people the iconic car throught the ages… i ahve every mark but a one, im finding these to be incredibly rare!!

i was wondering if any one out there would kindly help. if your local and fancy showing off you mark one id love to display it! i know its short notcie but i had one untill this morning when it broke down!!

it would be for a few hours and obviously it would be locked at all times and used purely as a display car.

If your local and fancy some free grub and free valet etc lpease plaes please help me!!!!

so many of the guy's have already got there cars at other vw garages.

Amy…. can you also state what areas are near you so that people are clear or not on whether they are close enough to help you?  What areas are 0-60 mins from you?

I'm miles away so cant help but I agree… a free valet or service or parts etc would be worth parting with your mk1 for a few days and most people would therefore want to be part of it.

OK so North essex.. Colchester, Clacton, Frinton Walton, Chelmsford Romford.. Pretty much any town on the A12 from Romford to Ipswich!!!

Failing that alos close to the Suffolk border so Ipswich, Bury..

Really appreciate your help! Never joined a forum before and didnt have a clue what to do!!

Ideally need the car for an afternoon but, the night is 6pm till 9pm so people are more than welcome to stay for the evening and take advantage of the hospitally and check otu the Golf 6!!

Funny you should say that.  I'm looking for a Mk3 or Mk4 Golf Convertable at the moment.  ?1.5k to ?2k max.  Any model, prefer black but not fussy.  Trying to buy the best condition one I can find.  That the kind of thing you can help with?

Are the vehicles insured against theft and damage while in your care? Done this before and my car came back scratched. You can understand people worried about putting their pride and joy on display, especially if they are not in attendance.

Most nice examples are kept clean anyway so a free valet doesn't mean much.

Not putting you off, but giving possible reasons why you are having trouble getting cars. If there was more of an incentive I am sure more would bite.

Im struggling- but i definatley see why people would be concerned... although not insured i could make sure the golf mark one (as with the mark 2 im borrowin) would be cordoned off and not touched! i understand and respect that these cars are you hobby and passion.. i would do everything possible to ensure there safe keeping. Would be great if someone local could help out and stay- that way they would have a better peace of mind. Point taken on the Valet.. im looking into offering something else but i have to be careful as to what i say as i dont think i can been seen to advertise us as a business!!

Yes its definitely a Mk1.

but it's in liverfool (well wirral sorry for the insult)
